Welcome to my personal tribute to the woman that I believe to be the best singer of all times and a treasured friend. I was first introduced to Emmylou's music in 1977 when I listened to her "Luxury Liner" album - I immediately became a lifelong fan.

Emmy was appearing in Williamsburg, VA in 1979 with her "Hot Band" when I first got the chance to see and photograph her. Working for the Country Star Newspaper as a photo journalist, I found myself backstage where I discovered Emmy's soul was as beautiful as her voice.

In creating this website, I have tried to include some of Emmy's dearest friends: Avis Parsons, John Starling, Phil Kaufman, Monty Hitchcock, Rodney Crowell, JET and Paul Kennerley. I've also included several photos of Herb Selby, a Virginia Beach gentleman who owned "The Upstairs" in the late 60's. Emmy appeared there very early in her career and always carried a special place in her heart for her dear friend.
